This month’s book signing author is Sandie LaNae and she will talk about her book Joseph A. Conboie, Undertaker.

Joseph A. Conboie was a noted and well-known Comstock Undertaker. Along with his undertaking commerce, Conboie was a philanthropist to his community, played a part in California and Nevada politics, was an inventor, and was also a historian and archivist for the state’s northern region.

Among Sandie La Nae’s many talents in the metaphysical world, add to her resume the title of author. To date, she has written thirty books, many with co-author, Special Works Historian, Arline La Ferry. La Nae’s volumes include several genres: history, paranormal, memoires, about minerals and Sandie is a published poet.

The Writers’ Wednesday Lecture Series, held the second Wednesday of each month, features a different author who takes part in a book signing, a presentation and question-and-answer session with the audience. A wine and cheese reception precedes the lecture.

The intent of the program is to highlight writers who specifically focus on Nevada, the Great Basin, or the West in general. The authors talk about the content of their books but also share details about the creative process.

Make sure to arrive early as we have limited seating available in our Event Space. Don’t forget, we provide free, temporary parking permits to make it easier to visit NHS!
