Nevada’s oldest museum, the Nevada Historical Society belongs to the University of Nevada, Reno’s Museum District. These diverse museums, galleries and attractions are dedicated to furthering the cultural education of Northern Nevada.

You’re invited to walk the University of Nevada, Reno’s Museum District and tour museums on and around campus from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Day at the Museum features a self-guided tour, and each museum will feature a different activity or giveaway. This event is ideal for families and anybody who is interested in art, history, earth science, life science and even outer space. Campus parking will be free for this event. Here is the Day at the Museum Flyer that lists all of the museums that are participating and includes a campus map.

University Museum District: Nevada Historical Society, Fleischmann Planetarium and Science Center, W.M. Keck Earth Science and Mineral
Engineering Museum, Museum of Natural History, Biggest Little Pollinator Garden, The Lilley Museum of Art, Sheppard Contemporary and University Galleries, University of Nevada, Reno Arboretum, Special Collections and University Archives, Shared History Gallery, and the Wilbur D. May Museum.

Hands-on activities, scavenger hunts and other fun activities for the entire family.
